With the Platform-as-a-Service (Paas) market truly set to heat up this year, I'd like to give those considering the move a word of advice: let us not forget everything we have learnt over the past 30 years about vendor lock-in. Indeed, if we are not careful, we will put ourselves at risk of repeating the mistakes of the past without realising!
